Michele Mossop is a Sydney based freelance photographer and illustrator specialising in corporate photography, portraiture, industry, travel and the arts.
Her career spans more than 25 years in print and online media as a staff photographer for the major newspapers in Australia and Italy. The last 16 years saw her as senior photographer and occasional photo editor and illustrator at the Australian Financial Review, the national newspaper of record. Prior to this she was arts photographer and founding Features Photo Editor on the Sydney Morning Herald. Michele's career began in Florence, Italy, as staff photographer on la Città Quotidiano di Firenze.
Her photography has been recognised by her peers as a finalist in the Moran Photography Prize (2009) and twice as a finalist in the HeadOn photographic portrait prize (2004 & 2008).
She was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 1995.
